The Bespoke Experience at TIADO, starts in a Pattern-Making and Measuring Techniques allows our Lead designer with years of experience to guide you through the custom garment process. our bespoke designer have been designing high quality men’s & ladies full custom garments right here in the USA. Don’t be misled by lower quality cheaper makers claiming to be bespoke tailors. The process of crafting a 100% hand made custom garment is quite challenging. It cannot rushed; it must be performed by high-end bespoke tailors with years of on the job training and expertise.
The process begins in our Chicago Showroom.
Step 1. CONVERSATION
Our Lead designer will begin by requesting and listening to your custom garment requests. There are many things we want and need to hear about including any past custom suit experiences, things about the garment you are most persistent about and anything else you feel may be important. Sometimes it is more important to find out what you DON’T want than what you DO want.
Step 2. SELECTION OF FABRICS
A fitting range of fabrics will be presented to you for you to select from. TIADO has all the brands including Ermengildo Zegna, Loro Piana, Dormeiul, Reda, Vitale Barberis and others. In addition, you can also select from an wide range of privately sourced fabrics that are completely available at Tiado, These fabrics come from all over the world and are the essence of luxury.
Step 3. THE MEASUREMENT PROCESS
Our Lead designer is passionate about crafting a perfect suitable and fitting garment for our clients. our proficiency is in our ability to measure and fit. Every measurement is taken into account, especially in the shoulder and the posture areas. We measure for everything and we always get it right. The 15+ measurements that are taken are then given over to our bespoke patternmaker who assembles a pattern for each individual client. The pattern allows us to make a true full custom garment as opposed to a made-to-measure garment.
Step 4. GARMENT CONSTRUCT
Your custom garment is now ready to be fully assembled. All custom suit jackets are constructed with a full canvas or half canvas chest piece. Your custom suits are all hand sewn together by bespoke tailors with years of experience . Features such as pic stitching on the lapels and functioning sleeve buttonholes are hand cut and sewn as well.
Step 5. GARMENT FITTING & DELIVERY PROCESS
It is now time to try on your garment and have one final fitting. The adjustments are usually minimal and completed. Any adjustments/alterations are noted to your file so your pattern can be updated for your next garment. Your bespoke suits are ready for pickup approximately 3 to 4 weeks from your initial consultation (add 2 weeks for a basted fitting). Any additional alterations needed within 3 months of purchase are free.
